Description

Stegosaurus, the “walking fortress” of the Late Jurassic period, is one of the most iconic dinosaurs ever discovered. With its distinctive double row of bony plates running down its spine and its formidable spiked tail, this plant-eating giant roamed North America and Europe around 150 million years ago.

Fully grown Stegosaurians could reach up to 4 metres in height, stretch 6 metres in length, and weigh close to four metric tonnes. Though primarily a peaceful herbivore feeding on ferns, mosses and cycads, Stegosaurus was far from defenceless. Its powerful tail spikes – known to palaeontologists as “thagomizers” – could grow up to a metre long and served as an effective deterrent against predators.

With 305 precision-cut wooden parts, this Intermediate-level build offers approximately eight hours of satisfying assembly. No glue or special tools are required – simply follow the step-by-step instructions. For best performance, lightly sand and wax the moving parts during assembly to ensure smooth mechanical action.
