FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a Cartonic 3D puzzle?
A Cartonic 3D puzzle is a creative model you build from layers of precision-cut cardboard. As each piece is added, the design gradually takes shape to create a three-dimensional sculpture you can display, customise or paint.
How do Cartonic 3D puzzles work?
Cartonic models are made up of pre-cut, numbered pieces that are assembled in sequence around a wooden base. Simply follow the instructions and watch your model take shape layer by layer – no glue is required.
Are Cartonic puzzles difficult to build?
There are Cartonic models to suit different experience levels, with each puzzle rated from Beginner through to Expert. Beginner models are a great place to start, while Intermediate and Expert designs offer more pieces and a more involved build.
How long does it take to build a Cartonic puzzle?
It depends on the model and difficulty level. Some smaller Cartonic models can be completed in around an hour, while larger or more detailed designs can take up to 2.5 hours.
Can I paint my finished Cartonic model?
Yes. Cartonic models look great in their natural cardboard finish, but you can also paint and customise them however you like. This gives you the freedom to turn your finished model into a completely unique piece of art.
What are Cartonic puzzles made from?
Cartonic puzzles are made primarily from eco-friendly cardboard, with wooden elements used in the construction. The materials are lightweight, while the layered design creates a surprisingly detailed finished model.
Who are Cartonic 3D puzzles suitable for?
Cartonic 3D puzzles are recommended for ages 14+, although younger children can also enjoy building them with help from an adult. With designs ranging from animals and dinosaurs to cars, famous landmarks and contemporary art-inspired pieces, there’s plenty of variety to suit different ages, interests and styles.
Does Cartonic make a good gift?
Absolutely. Part of the appeal of Cartonic is that you’re giving both an experience and something to keep afterwards. Gift the puzzle ready to build, or assemble and customise one yourself to create a more personal present.
